Department of Pathology

Pathology is the study of diseases (Pathos, suffering). It involves the investigations of the causes and associated changes at the levels of cells, tissue and organ, which in turn give rise to the presenting signs and symptoms of the patient. Our aim is to make the students understand the fundamental principles that govern complex biological systems. Main objective is to:

• Provide an advanced understanding of the core principles/ topics of Pathology and their experimental basis.
• To enable students to acquire a specialized knowledge and understanding of the curriculum.

The correlation of etiology and pathogenesis knowledge with clinical aspects is essential in practicing medicine. The faculty at pathology Department of WMCR makes sure that the students are able to correlate their basic knowledge with clinical cases.
