#Youm_e_Tashakur was observed with full national zeal and patriotism to celebrate the profound victory of our forces over our coward enemy.
Alhamdullilah, we celebrated the farewell of the 5th Batch of WDC. This was all possible due to vision of our Chairman WMDCR Abdur Rasheed Mian and Principal Watim Dental College Brig(R) Syed Gulzar Ali Bukhari. Special thanks to Chairman Watim Dental College Nasir Abbas Sahab for gracing the occasion. Thank you to our dearest students and Dental faculty for making this occasion a huge success. We were highly grateful and honored by the presence of our guests, Prof. Dr Mohtada Hassan, Dr Masooma Talib, Prof Dr Eruj Shuja, Prof Dr Mazhar Malik, Prof Dr Imran Aftab , Prof Dr Madiha Imran, Asad Abbas Sahab and Dr Imran Mansoor. Last of all the efforts of our enthusiastic Organizing Committee was commendable.
A workshop on “Short cases in Operative Dentistry and Endodontics” was held in Medical Education Department of Watim Medical and Dental College today conducted by Operative Dentistry Department Watim Dental Colege. It included 25 participants out of which 17 registered from various institutes of Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Lahore. It was facilitated by Col Rizwan Qureshi( HOD Rawal Institute of Health Sciences), Dr Huma Farid ( Associate Professor, School of Dentistry, Islamabad) and myself Dr Ammarah Afreen. It received a marvelous response from all the participants. They were highly satisfied with the arrangement and the cases selected by team of consultants of Operative Dentistry Dr Sadaf Amjad AP and Dr Hira Altaf SR. I would like to thank the Chairman Prof Abdur Rasheed and Principal Watim Dental College Brig Gulzar Bukhari for their continuous support for continued medical Education. The logistic support from Prosthodontic Department and the support from staff and trainees of Operative Dentistry Department is commendable.
Sports Week 2025 was a vibrant and energetic celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and College spirit 🏆👏. The event brought together students, staff, and families for a series of competitive and fun-filled activities across various sports, including football, basketball, athletics, and swimming. With a renewed emphasis on inclusivity and wellness, this year’s Sports Week introduced new events such as adaptive sports and mixed-gender relays, encouraging broad participation. Highlights included a thrilling inter-house football final and a closing ceremony that honored outstanding athletes and team achievements. The week not only fostered healthy competition but also strengthened community bonds and left lasting memories for all involved.
