The Department of Physiology is an important segment of the Faculty of Basic Sciences at Watim Medical College, Rawalpindi. This department holds the vision of giving meaningful output in teaching and promotes research, to groom and aspire undergraduate students to cope up with international standards. For this purpose, electronic media is used to teach the students and a Physiology Laboratory well equipped with advanced and up to date equipment/facilities (including Powerlab, spirometers, treadmill, equipment to analyse blood and its components etc) is provided.
The teaching faculty includes two Professors, one Associate Professor, two Assistant Professors, and eight Demonstrators. The level of education is maintained efficiently by implementation of concepts and knowledge through skills, and teaching methods. The dedication with which the team is performing their duties is commendable and it is hoped that this dedication will not only enhance the professional growth of the faculty, but also enable the students to successfully excel in their profession.
